The Fès-Meknes region ( Arabic فاس - مكناس) is one of the 12 regions of Morocco that were newly created after an administrative reform in 2015 and extends in the north of the kingdom. The name of the region is derived from the two traditional cities of Fès and Meknes . The capital of the region is Fez.

In the entire Fès-Meknes region, around 4.235 million people of Arab and Berber descent live in an area of ​​almost 39,000 km². Around 1.672 million people live in rural areas ( communes rurales ), around 2.564 million people live in cities ( municipalités ).
