from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The open cultural landscape conservation area is located in the urban area of Lichtenau in the Paderborn district . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 2014 by the district council with the  Lichtenau landscape plan. The LSG partly borders directly on the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LSG consists of 30 sub-areas of very different area sizes.

description

The LSG covers parts of the landscape in the area of the Paderborn plateau and the southern Egge Mountains . It is mainly arable land and subordinate grassland. The LSG is structured primarily by rows of trees and hedges.

Non-local trees should be replaced by local deciduous trees that are appropriate for the location. Sources, brooks and ditches as well as the bottoms of the dry valleys should be protected from step damage, pollution and nutrient input by sufficiently wide buffer zones. Sinkfalls, edges of terrain and natural depressions within agricultural areas are to be preserved. To dismantle fish ponds after the existing permit has expired or to redesign them in such a way that the ecological continuity of the rivers is restored.
