Langdysse of Skraem

The protected, northwest-southeast oriented Langdysse of Skræm (also Skraem) lies east of Tanderupgårdsvej, south of Skraem and north of Bejstrup , in the region of Nordjylland near Hjørring on the island Vendsyssel-Thy in Denmark . The long dolmen visible from the street was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

It encloses three dolmens , two of which are hidden under the capstones in the hill. The third is stripped of its capstones. All three are filled with earth. One chamber is damaged by excavations on the megalithic bed . A depression shows the location of a fourth lost chamber. The Langdysse suffered damage in particular around 1830; building a mill near Aagaard.

The closely spaced curb stones of the hill measuring approximately 70.0 × 10.0 m are of considerable height, especially the originally three or four end stones on the narrow sides, of which only two have survived. Some of them stood 0.7 m above the earth's fill of the hill.

There are three round hills nearby. The two passage graves of Gundestrup are about 800 m away .
