The Lanz Bulldog D 9506 is a farm tractor of the HR 8 series that Heinrich Lanz AG from Mannheim built a total of 3817 times from 1934 to 1955, with one interruption in 1945. It was sold as farm air . In Poland, the Lanz D 9506 was rebuilt as the Ursus C-45 from 1947 to 1959 without a license.

The D 9506 is a frameless farm tractor in a block design with an unsprung rear rigid axle and a front pendulum axle (rigid), which could be installed either with or without suspension. The Bulldog has pneumatic tires and rear-wheel drive; there is no differential lock. Lanz manufactured the transmission himself: it has three forward gears, one reverse gear and a two-speed countershaft . This results in a total of six forward and two reverse gears. The speed ranges from 3.3 km / h in first gear to 16.7 km / h in sixth gear. The foot brake only works on the rear wheels, the hand brake works directly on the transmission. As with the previous models, the motor is a 10.3 liter hot- head motor with thermosiphon cooling, which is typical for Lanz . Compared to the HR 6 and 7 series, the motor has an all-speed controller, the nominal speed has been increased from 540 to 630 revolutions per minute. Since the engine is a multi-fuel engine, various light oils can be used for operation. The D 9506 has an electrical system. If a pendulum starter is available, the lead accumulator has a capacity of 94 Ah ; without a starter it is 75 Ah. At the customer's request, Lanz delivered special superstructures such as front fenders or a cab with a convertible top ex works.
