Larry Means

Larry Means (born April 20, 1947 in Attalla , Alabama ) is an American politician and a Senator in the Alabama Senate since 1998.

Means studied at Jacksonville State University , where he received his bachelor's degree in 1970 . Before he was elected as a Democrat to the Alabama Senate, he gained his first political experience as a member of the Attalla City Council, of which he was a member from 1976 to 1980 and 1984 to 1988. 1992 to 1998 Means held the office of Mayor of Attalla.

Means is married and has two children, a son and a daughter.
