Lascours

Lascours is a district of the municipality of Roquevaire in French Bouches-du-Rhône in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur .

Lascours, itself not an independent municipality, is divided into even smaller districts:

history

During the Neolithic Age, the caves around the place were first inhabited. In 125 BC the Romans occupied the region. When Lascours was created around 1550, Roquevaire already existed. In 1867 the place was connected to the railway network, in 1913 the telephone came to Lascours. It wasn't until 1955 that there was running water.

  • Church Saint-Jean of 1845 (previous chapel Notre Dame de Pitié of 1670)
