The nobles of Laucha , also Lochowe or Luchau , were an ancient noble, Thuringian, extinct gentleman family from the place of the same name Laucha an der Unstrut .

history

They were feudal men from Bamberg and held three noble seats (Sedelhöfe): Laucha, Plößnitz and Großernitz . The milites Otto de Lochowe and his brother Heinrich are mentioned for the first time in 1271 and Johannes de Lochowe in 1293. In 1301 Theodericus et Gelfradus de Luchowe and 1301/03 Otto, who were mentioned again as Otto dictus de Lochau in 1319 as castellan of the Rudelsburg . In 1324 the Gelfradus brothers, Otto et Bertoldus ac eorum ceteri fraters dicti de Luchowe are listed in a document. In 1358 a Dietrich von Laucha gave his seal: the legend S. Thiterici de Luchowa. He is mentioned again in 1365. In 1367 Nicolaus and Gerhard de Luchova, 1416, 1419, 1421 and 1440 a Volckmar von Luchau. They had given up their headquarters in Laucha before 1378 and probably sold it to the von Schönberg family .

They are related to the von Hessler and von Burkersroda family in tribal and coat of arms.
