Plößnitz is a district of the city of Laucha an der Unstrut in Burgenlandkreis , Saxony-Anhalt . The place is located southwest of the city of Laucha on the connecting road to Burkersroda . Plößnitz was incorporated into Laucha an der Unstrut on April 1, 1959.

history

The place Plößnitz is of Sorbian origin and was first mentioned in a document in 1396 as Plesenitz . The place belonged, located in the Freyburg office , with its free noble seat to the Lords of Laucha . In the Middle Ages, Plößnitz was under the diocese of Naumburg . On December 7th, 1449, the bishop of Naumburg enfeoffed Werner von Rockhausen and his cousin Eiffurt with the village of Plönsnitz with all accessories, jurisdiction, etc. The place belonged to the families resident on the manor Kirchscheidungen , until 1712 by von Rockhausen and afterwards of the von der Schulenburg family on castle divisions until 1945.
