Burkersroda is a district of the municipality of Balgstädt in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

Burkersroda is located between Laucha an der Unstrut and Eckartsberga . The state road 208 has traffic-wise effects on the village, which is located with its boundary in an arable hill country and is the highest village of the Finns . The district of Dietrichsroda belonged to the former municipality of Burkersroda .

history

Burkersroda was first mentioned in a document before September 24, 1159, when Bishop Berthold von Naumburg gave his church a hoof in Burgenroht . In an atonement comparison, the place is called Burghardisrode , while the name Burkertzrode appears in a loan letter from 1494 . It was the headquarters of the Lords of Burkersroda . For the younger side branch of the lords of Burkersroda that of Hessler , in the resort was a Vorwerk , with 5 hooves , listed and a free yard and Hözern as a feud. It was also connected to the manor in Burgheßler through hereditary lawsuits .

On June 30, 2009 the previously independent municipality of Burkersroda was incorporated into the municipality of Balgstädt.
