Laura Adani

Laura Adani (born October 7, 1906 in Modena , † August 30, 1996 in Moncalieri ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Adani, like her drama-related sisters, began early on with small roles and became one of Italy's most important actresses in the 1930s. Already in 1930/31 she was engaged by Mario Mattoli for the legendary theater group "Za-Bum". This was followed by roles in classics alongside Luigi Cimara , Umberto Melnati and above all Renzo Ricci , with whom she could be seen in many works by Shakespeare and D'Annunzio . The production set up by Guido Salvati from 1942 is legendary . La figlia di Iorio . From the second half of the decade, Adani put her focus on contemporary pieces in which she could use her refined, expressive and spirited style with her outstanding voice. In later years she worked with directors such as Paolo Grassi , Giorgio Strehler and Roger Blin . Tours took her to the United States in 1965. She finished her stage appearances in 1981.
