Laura Bispuri

Laura Bispuri (* 1977 in Rome ) is an Italian director .

Life

Laura Bispuri completed a film degree at La Sapienza University in Rome. Passing Time , her first short film, was awarded the David di Donatello Italian film prize. For her second short film, Biondina , she received the 2011 Nastro d'Argento Critics' Prize as Young Talent of the Year. Sworn Virgin was her first full-length feature film and had its premiere in 2015 in the Berlinale competition for the Golden Bear . Shown at 80 festivals, it has received numerous awards.

In 2018, Bispuri received another invitation to compete at the 68th Berlinale for her second feature film Figlia mia .
