Laura Gantenbein

Laura Gantenbein (* 1989 ) is a Swiss politician , president of the Green Party in the canton of Solothurn and councilor of the city of Solothurn .

Life

Laura Gantenbein works as a primary school teacher in Olten and, as the representative of the scouts, is president of the working group of Solothurn youth associations. She was active with the Young Greens for a long time . She sits on the municipal council of the city of Solothurn and presides over the working group of Solothurn youth associations.

On April 4, 2018 Laura Gantenbein was elected President of the Green Canton of Solothurn. She thus succeeded Felix Wettstein and, in addition to environmental concerns, also wants to focus on equal pay.

In November 2018 it was announced that Gantenbein would be nominated for the cantonal party for the National Council elections.

On August 1, 2017, Gantenbein gave the speech at the national celebration in Solothurn.
