Laura Rival

Laura Rival is a French anthropologist . She is a lecturer in anthropology and development at Oxford University and a fellow at Linacre College .

She did her doctorate on the Huaorani Indians, on which she published numerous articles and two books. She has taught at the London School of Economics , Manchester University and Kent University.

Her work focuses on the implications of development policy for indigenous peoples , concepts of nature and society among Indians , national affiliation and education in Latin America and the Makushi Indians of southern Guyana .
