Laurence Juber (born November 12, 1952 in London , England) is a British guitarist.

Life

He became known for his work as lead guitarist with Paul McCartneys Wings between July 1978 and April 1981. During this time he won a Grammy in the category "Best Rock Instrumental" for Rockestra .

He recorded songs with Ringo Starr and George Harrison , as well as with Al Stewart and Alan Parsons , among others . As a studio musician, he played on the soundtrack of James Bond 007 - The Spy Who Loved Me or Men in Black II as well as for the TV series Roseanne ; Beverly Hills, 90210 and listen who's hammering there .

Since the early 1990s he has made a name for himself as a fingerstyle guitarist and has published numerous solo albums and several books with his arrangements and compositions.

He is married to Hope Juber and the couple have two children. He wrote and produced the musical It's the Housewives with Hope , which premiered on September 6, 2008 at the Whitefire Theater in Sherman Oaks , California.

Since 2002, the US guitar maker CF Martin & Co. has released a series of signature models from the OM (Orchestra Model) series dedicated to Laurence Juber . He was also the inspiration for a set of guitar strings from the "Retro" series by the same company.
