Laurent Fels
Laurent Fels (born February 4, 1984 in Esch-sur-Alzette , Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg poet, literary scholar and critic . He teaches literature and philosophy at the 'Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles' in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Life
Laurent Fels studied Classical Philology and Literature at the Center universitaire de Luxembourg and the University of Metz and received his doctorate. phil. at the Université de Lorraine with a dissertation on Saint-John Perse. In 2004 he founded the literary magazine Les Cahiers de Poésie , which appears four times a year and which he runs with the Parisian writer and publisher Joseph Ouaknine .
As a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the “Écritures” research center of the Université de Lorraine , he is the scientific editor of the series Regards sur la poésie du XXe siècle . Laurent Fels has been a member of the European Academy of Poetry since April 2009. He is also a researcher at several literary institutions such as the Société de littérature générale et comparée at the University of Luxembourg and the Society for French Studies at Oxford University .
His poetic work was honored in 2007 with the Grand Prix de Littérature of the Académie Nationale de Metz .
