Laurentius I of Lebus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Laurentius (German also Lorenz I ; † March 9, 1204 ) was Bishop of Lebus from 1201 to 1204 (?).

In the necrology of the Cistercian monastery Leubus , a bishop Laurentius von Lebus and a monk in Leubus was commemorated for March 9th. In the 19th century there was a wooden statue with the inscription Laurentius VI., Bishop of Lebus and monk of Leubus. Elected 1201. Died 1204. (Its origin and historical reliability are uncertain, however.)

No further information is known about him.
