Laurie Main
Laurie Main (born November 29, 1922 in Melbourne , † February 8, 2012 in Los Angeles ) was an Australian actor .
Main left his home country at the age of 16 and first went to England, where he worked as an actor in the touring theater. From 1953 he was also seen in films. In the late 1950s he went to the United States, where he took acting lessons from Agnes Moorehead . He played on Broadway a. a. alongside Eartha Kitt and in numerous television series; his most famous role was that of host and narrator in Walt Disney's Welcome to Pooh Corner . He also took on important supporting roles in some movies.
