Lautaro Bugatto

Lautaro Bugatto (born June 4, 1991 - May 6, 2012 ) was an Argentine football player .

Athletic career

Bugatto came from the youth of CA Banfield . In 2009 he moved up to the professional squad of the club, which won the league title of the Primera División in the same year in the 2009 Apertura . In the same year he also played for the Argentine U-20 national team . After Bugatto could not prevail in the first team, the club loaned him to the then third division Tristán Suárez in 2012 .

Bugatto was shot dead on the morning of May 6th, initially from a robbery and a shootout between police and robbers. A police officer was later sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment for opening fire on the owner on the false assumption that he had robbed Bugatto's home. Bugatto left behind a daughter who was two years old when he died.
