The house at Lauteschlägerstraße 11 is a building in Darmstadt .
History and description
The house at Lauteschlägerstrasse 11 was built around 1819. The bricklayer Martin Schwab built a two-storey , six-axle semi-detached house on the open ground - on the edge of the Pankratiusvorstadt .
A third floor was added around 1846. The deep courtyard was built up tightly. In addition to further residential use, a bakery, an oven and extensive firewood sheds were built.
Monument protection
The property is a largely unadulterated ensemble in the newly created suburb and a typical example of petty bourgeois development in Darmstadt. For architectural and city history reasons, the building is considered a cultural monument .
