The Lava Crag ( English ; Polish Lawowa Turnia ) is a 173 m high rocky outcrop on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises above Destruction Bay .
Polish scientists named it in 1984. It is named after the basaltic lava of the neighboring layered volcano Melville Peak , with which the rock is covered.
