The Laxfoss is one of the waterfalls of Grímsá in the west of Iceland .
The Grímsá is one of the best salmon rivers in the country and this waterfall is one of the most popular fishing spots, hence the name, the Icelandic word for salmon waterfall . Other waterfalls in Iceland have this name. Close to the waterfall is the Enska húsíð (English House), a fishing hut that was built in the 1970s. It can be reached via Borgarfjarðarbraut and Hvítárvallavegur .
At Laxfoss, the Grímsá falls 2 m. The Tröllafossar are about 2 km upstream.
