Leshi Holding (Beijing) Co., Ltd , mostly known as LeEco , formerly Letv , is a Chinese internet and technology company based in Beijing's Chaoyang District . It is active in numerous business fields, mainly in the areas of consumer electronics , film / video and the Internet. The part of the name Eco stands for the symbolic ecosystem of interlinked business areas. The main principle is to offer content and hardware bundled. The spectrum includes, for example, Internet television (series, sporting events: LeSports), the production and distribution of smartphone-optimized videos, e-commerce , the manufacture of smartphones (Le brand), flat screens and more. In 2015 LeEco sold 10 million smartphones and over 6 million SmartTV. The online shop LeMall is the third largest in China. In 2015, LeEco started developing a self-driving electric car . The production plant is to become part of an amusement park around the topic of automobility. The subsidiary Le Vision Pictures (Levp), founded in 2011, is one of the largest film production and distribution companies in China (the sixth largest distributor in 2014 with a market share of over 4%). At the end of 2015, with effect from 2016, LeSports acquired the naming rights for the LeSports Center multi-purpose stadium in Beijing for five years .

In the course of expansion efforts abroad, LeEco already entered the Indian market. In mid-2016, LeEco then took over the Californian consumer electronics manufacturer Vizio (main product smart TV devices) for 2 billion US dollars . To enter the Russian / Eastern European market, the subsidiary LeREE was founded, which aims to cooperate with local companies. In 2016, LeEco agreed with the Russian Development Fund for the Far East to set up the online trading platform LeLive to promote the export of Russian food to China.

On July 6, 2017, it was announced that Jia Yueting was stepping down as CEO of Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp after LeEco's financial difficulties and serving as chairman of LeEco.
