Le Chat Noir is an alternative rock duo consisting of Teddy Hesper (guitar, vocals) and Eileen Spruce (drums).
history
Teddy Hesper was born in London in 1982 but soon moved with his family to the Devonshire area . Initially a pure bass player, he switched to guitar and vocals in 2006 , whereby the roots of the bass are still clearly noticeable (his guitar is often tuned lower). One of his influences is a. Kurt Cobain , Frank Black , The Doors, and The White Stripes .
Hesper has a degree in English literature.
Eileen Spruce was born in Los Angeles , Ca. in 1983 . born, only moved to England in 2006 to join Le Chat Noir . That year she also bought her first own drum kit .
The band thrives on their explosive live performances; and while often compared to the White Stripes , they try to define their own style and be more than a mere imitation of a successful concept.
