Le Rat Luciano

Le Rat Luciano (* 21st April 1976 in Marseille as Christophe Carmona ) is a French rapper , who for Fonky Family belongs.

Life

Carmona was born and raised in the Panier district of Marseille. His father is of Spanish origin and his mother is from Martinique .

Le Rat Luciano began his career with the Black and White Zulus under the stage name Don Carmon . Pone and DJ Djel brought Don Carmon (Le Rat) and Menzo (from the group Black & White Zulus) together with Sat and Don Choa (from the group Le Rythme and La Rime). On the occasion of a concert, the band "Fonky Family" was founded, whose first rapped song was entitled On pète les plombs . In January 1998 the Fonky Family released their first album Si Dieu veut ..., certified with double platinum.

In October 2000, Le Rat Luciano released his first solo album entitled Mode De Vie ... Béton Style, certified gold record , with pieces such as Sacré, Il est fou ce monde, Niquer le Bénef and Zic de la Zone , which were in the trade press as Hip-hop classics apply. The album has a circulation of approx. 220,000 copies. In March 2001 he worked on the production of Fonky Family’s second work, Art de rue (a double platinum disc).

In 2006 he composed seven songs for the third album, Marginale musique (gold record). The group released a live album from the Fonky Family concert that took place in November 2001 at the Dôme de Marseille. In a 2008 interview with Fred Musa, Le Rat Luciano confirmed the end of Fonky Family, previously announced by Sat l'Artificier, another member of the group.

A new album with 61 songs by Le Rat Luciano was announced in early 2010 for June 14th of the same year. In 2011, Zesau, rapper with the group Dicidens, announced the release of his first solo album, Frères d'armes , in which Le Rat Luciano took part. In January 2012, Le Rat Luciano worked on the video clip Écrire l'histoire de Lil'Sai. In 2013 he announced the release of a second solo album. In June 2017 he appeared on the cover of the album Je ne me vois pas briller by JUL, another rapper from Marseille with whom he is close friends.
