Sofiane Zermani , also Fianso (born July 21, 1986 in Saint-Denis , Seine-Saint-Denis ) is a French rapper and actor .

life and career

Zermani was born in Saint-Denis in 1986 . His parents are of Algerian descent and moved to France in the 1960s and 1980s. He grew up in Stains until he was 13 , after which his family moved with him to Le Blanc-Mesnil . He dropped out of school at the age of 15 and worked with his father on markets. As an adult, he joined the group Les Affranchis and released his first mixtape Première claque in 2007 . The La vie de cauchemar project followed in 2009 . In the following eight years four more mixtapes with the titles Blacklist and the sequel Blacklist 2 , I Need Money 3 Days Theory and # JesuispasséchezSo were released . The latter project was promoted by an additional video series on YouTube from spring 2016, which ultimately helped him achieve his final breakthrough as a rapper in France. By February 2017, all clips had over 80 million views. In November 2016 he signed a recording deal with Capitol , an offshoot of Universal Music France . With the support of a major label for the first time, # JesuispasséchezSo immediately reached number two in the French album charts and was able to sell over 14,000 units in the week of publication. In the same year, the Mixtape achieved platinum status in France. His debut album Bandit saleté followed just a few months later on May 12, 2017 and, like its predecessor, reached number two in the charts. With his second studio album Affranchis , he reached the top of the French album charts for the first time in February 2018 . In November 2018, the collaboration with the German-speaking artists RAF Camora and AriBeatz Perfect reached the German and Austrian charts. In the Austrian single charts, the single even rose to number one . A few months later, working with Heuss l'Enfoiré with the song Khapta , he also placed himself at number one in the French single charts for the first time .

In 2018, Zermani played the character Gatsby in the play Le Magnifique , a French adaptation of the Great Gatsby . He described his experience as more intimate, as you are in much closer contact with the audience. In 2019 he was on stage again for the production company France Culture , this time for the play La Mort d'Achille by Wajdi Mouawad . In addition, the artist worked as an actor in several films, including Frères ennemis and Mauvaises herbes and the series Les Sauvages .
