Leabhar Mór Leacain ("The Great Book of Lecan"), English The Great Book of Lecan is the title of a medieval compilation that was written between 1397 and 1418 in Ireland . It is now kept in the Royal Irish Academy (MS 23 P 2). The name is derived from Lecan Castle , where the book was written, now just a ruin in the west of County Sligo ; it must not be confused with the Leabhar Buidhe Lecain ("The Yellow Book of Lecan").
