The LeaderChor Berlin is a mixed choir founded by the Rundfunkchor Berlin in September 2006 . The chief conductor is Simon Halsey .

The name LeaderChor based on a pun , the aural similarity of the plural of song and of the English word leader (to German executives exploits). The approximately 40 members are executives from politics , business , science , medicine , jurisprudence , culture and mass media who like to sing at a high level, but do not have time for regular choir rehearsals. The choir meets once a year for an extended project weekend and sings choral pieces from all epochs from the Renaissance to contemporary works and in several languages.

The first choir project triggered a great media response in the press and radio and was concluded with a concert in the Rotes Rathaus in Berlin.
