Leandro Grech (born October 24, 1980 in Rosario , Sante Fe province ), mostly just called Leandro , is a former Argentine football player .
Career
Grech played for various South American clubs in his home country Argentina as well as in Chile and Bolivia . With Club Aurora from the Bolivian city of Cochabamba , he was able to qualify for the Copa Sudamericana .
In the summer of 2006, Grech moved to Germany for the southern regional division SC Pfullendorf . There he completed 50 games in a year and a half, in which he scored six goals. In the winter break of the 2007/08 season Leandro Grech was transferred to FC Erzgebirge Aue , with whom he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season.
In the 2008/09 season, the midfielder was under contract with third division club SV Sandhausen . Then Grech played for two seasons with league rivals SpVgg Unterhaching . In all years he was a regular player in his teams and played over 30 season games.
For the 2011/12 season Leandro Grech will move to VfR Aalen , where he was appointed vice-captain behind Benjamin Barg . Because he lost his regular place due to injury, Grech was appointed the new team captain. With the Swabians, too, he was an integral part of the team in central midfield and played all 38 games of the season except for a few minutes. In the end, the team reached 2nd place and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the summer of 2015 Leandro Grech moved to the fourth division club SV Elversberg . There he ended his career at the end of the 2018/19 season.
