The Lebzelterhaus in Steyr , Sierningerstraße 1, is a patrician house in the Renaissance style .

history

The building in its current form dates from around the middle of the 16th century. The facade shows the year 1567, and the paintings presumably also date from this period. Gingerbread , mead and wax objects were sold until 1957 in the house and made up to the mid-19th century there myself. On November 15, 1957, the local council approved the purchase of the house - by 1960, after renovation work, the original Renaissance condition was restored. Today it houses a gingerbread museum and the Christkindl café .

location

The house is located in the Steyrdorf district , Sierningerstraße 1, directly opposite the Red Fountain . A few steps away is the Gothic Dunklhof (Kirchengasse 16).
