The Lechtenburg was a Niederungsburg south of Elsfleth in the Wesermarsch district in Lower Saxony .

The ruin is on the banks of the Hunte opposite the Ollen estuary.

Around 1240 Otto I (Oldenburg) was lord of the castle.
