Lecture Notes in Computer Science

Lecture Notes in Computer Science ( LNCS ) is a series of books from the computer science , which since 1973 by Springer Science + Business Media (Springer-Verlag formerly) is issued.

It contains research results in computer science, mostly as conference volumes , and monographs . In addition, there have recently been tutorials , surveys and other IT topics. Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) and Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNBI) are two sub-series of the LNCS. The LNCS editors were originally based in Heidelberg , but most of the work has now been outsourced to India . More than 10,000 volumes had been published by the end of 2016. An online subscription to the full range costs approximately € 23,000 per year. LNCS is one of the largest series of computer science publications, together with those of the ACM , IEEE and USENIX .
