The Lecture Notes in Mathematics are a series of lecture theses, research monographs and anthologies from courses and conferences published by Springer Science + Business Media .

Over 2150 volumes had appeared by 2016. The first volume appeared in 1964. They cover all areas of mathematics.

The series included many anthologies of the Bourbaki seminars , almost all of the École d'Été de Probabilités de Saint-Flour and (with the exception of one volume) the Séminaire de géométrie algébrique du Bois Marie (SGA) by Alexander Grothendieck and his students (IHES 1960 to 1969).

Albrecht Dold and Beno Eckmann were co-founders and long-time editors .
