Leif Esper Andersen

Leif Esper Andersen (born January 6, 1940 in Borup ; † March 7, 1979 ) was a Danish teacher, painter, sculptor and author of books for young people.

In 1971 his debut novel was published with Hexenfieber ( Heksefeber ), which was also his most famous work. It received the youth book prize of the Danish Teachers' Association and was on the list of honor for the Hans Christian Andersen Prize , as well as on the shortlist for the German Youth Literature Prize .

Andersen died in 1979 at the age of only 39.
