Dieter IV. Chamberlain of Worms (* around 1385 ; † March 12, 1458 or † March 12, 1453) was a senior administrative officer of the Elector of Mainz and came from the knightly family of the Chamberlain of Worms .

Dieter IV. Was a son of Dieter III. Chamberlain of Worms, who is documented from 1360, died on September 23, 1398 and was mayor of the city of Worms in 1387 . The mother of Dieter IV. Was Guda, daughter of the Konz Landschad von Steinach . She died on September 16, 1403. Dieter IV was married three times:

  • In 1412 he married Ida, a daughter of Peter III. Chamberlain of Worms. She died in 1439. His son Adam I comes from this marriage. He died on December 18, 1463. He was married to Kunigunde Beyer von Boppard since 1433. After the death of her husband she became a nun and died as abbess of the Marienberg monastery near Boppard on March 21, 1476.
  • In 1438 or 1440 he married again: Casula, daughter of Hermann and Casula von Udenheim . She died on August 13, 1448.
  • Around 1450 Dieter IV married for the third time, namely Margareta, daughter of Bernhard von Hirzberg, widow of Johann XVI. Chamberlain of Worms and died on December 4, 1463.

Dieter IV is mentioned from 1404. In 1420 he became burgrave of the Starkenburg . 1425–1431 he officiated as Vice Cathedral of Aschaffenburg for the Archbishop of Mainz and Elector in Aschaffenburg .

After his cousin, Johann XVII. Chamberlain of Worms , who died on July 2, 1431 in the Battle of Bulgnéville , he took over the guardianship of his children.

On August 31, 1440, he and his second wife, Casula, donated an altar with an eternal mass in St. Martin Worms for the salvation of their ancestors.
