The Leipzig Open ( spelling LEIPZIG OPEN ) is a tennis tournament for men and women in Leipzig .

The tournament was founded in 2003 under the name Bosch Leipzig Open and renamed the Leipzig Open in 2007. It will be played on the grounds of the Leipzig Tennis Club 1990 eV. The Leipzig Open runs over four tournament days, is part of the HEAD German Masters Series and has been the International Saxon Championships since 2005. The tournament is endowed with prize money of 10,200 euros.

The organization and implementation of the Leipzig Open are handled by over 100 volunteers from the organizing club and association. In addition to the tournament for the active, there is a business and junior tournament as well as an extensive supporting program for players and guests. Entry is free on all tournament days.

venue

The venue for the tennis tournament is Leipzig in Saxony, Germany. All four days of the tournament will be played on the grounds of the Leipzig Tennis Club 1990 eV at the central stadium of the city of Leipzig. The Leipziger Tennisclub 1990 eV has eleven outdoor courts, including three with floodlights and a CenterCourt with over 200 seats.
