Leisi AG, food factory

The Leisi AG, Food Processing Plant was from 1938 to 1997, a Swiss manufacturer of Manufactures own with manufacturing base in Wangen , Canton of Solothurn . Today the Leisi brand belongs to the Nestlé food group . The production site, which remains in Wangen, is Nestlé Switzerland's largest in terms of volume.

The company was founded in 1938 by Werner Leisi and was the first to make cake dough by machine. The range was later expanded to include puff pastry and baked goods. In 1970 the family company was sold to the Ursina Franck Group. This in turn was taken over by Nestlé in 1971.

From 1984 the brand achieved a further high level of awareness with the launch of the first fully rolled out dough "Quick", for whose production the then most powerful dough production line in Switzerland was put into operation in the mid-1980s. "Quick" still makes up the majority of production at the Wangen site today.
