Lejb (Leon) Najdus , also Leyb Naydus (born November 6, 1890 in Grodno ; † July 23, 1918 ), was a Yiddish-speaking poet.

Najdus grew up in an educated Jewish family and spoke several languages very early on. Najdus initially wrote and published poems in Polish , Russian and Belarusian . In 1907 he made his debut with a poem in Yiddish that the Warsaw newspaper Roman Cajtung published, marking the start of Najdus' impressive career as a Yiddish poet.

During his lifetime Najdus brought out three volumes with his own poetry. He also translated Russian and French poetry into Yiddish. A six-volume edition of his works that were not published during his lifetime was published posthumously. His poems were marked by a strong turn to the Jewish or Yiddish cultural tradition, as he had got to know at home.

After his death in 1918, Najdus was buried in the old Jewish cemetery in Grodno, where his grave remained until the 1960s, before it was leveled for the construction of a stadium.
