Leknes is a Norwegian town on the Lofot island Vestvågøy and, as Tettsted, is the administrative seat of the municipality of Vestvågøy in the province of Nordland . The place has 2715 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012).

Leksnes is located on the Buksnesfjord and has a runway of 1070 meters with Leknes Airport ( Leknes lufthavn ). The place has a seaport. Furthermore, Leknes is connected to the European route 10 .
