Lena Klassen

Lena Klassen , b. Schmidt, (* 1971 in Moscow ) is a German author of Russian-German origin.

life and work

Klassen spent her childhood and youth in Espelkamp and graduated from the Söderblom-Gymnasium there in 1991 . She has lived in Stemwede since 1995 . Klassen studied literature, English and philosophy. She received her doctorate in 1999 from Bielefeld University on the fantastic literature of the Welsh author Arthur Make (1863–1947). The dissertation was published in 2000 under the title Arthur Machens phantastischer Raum. Space and mood published as the basis of fantastic storytelling .

Klassen wrote several fantasy novels, novels, and children's books. She published the successful fantasy trilogy Sehnsucht nach Rinland at Neufeld Verlag . Her book MAGYRIA - The Heart of the Shade was published by Penhaligon in December 2009.
