Lengerich country
Until 1927 Lengerich-Land was a municipality in the Tecklenburg district in what was then the province of Westphalia . The community included the rural area around the city of Lengerich . Today your area belongs to the city of Lengerich in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The community Lengerich-Land enclosed the city of Lengerich and last had an area of 89 km². It consisted of the farmers Aldrup, Antrup, Hohne, Intrup, Niederlengerich, Ringel, Schollbruch, Settel and Wechte.
history
After the Napoleonic era , the area of the community initially belonged to the Lengerich mayor in the Tecklenburg district, founded in 1816. With the introduction of the Westphalian rural community order in 1844, the Lengerich mayor's office became the Lengerich office, to which the city and the rural community of Lengerich belonged. The rural community was also called parish Lengerich at that time . On April 1, 1927, the community Lengerich-Land was incorporated into the city of Lengerich.
