Steering wheel angle sensor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The steering wheel angle sensor measures the turning angle of the steering wheel. This measured value is required for the vehicle dynamics control (also called ESC or ESP). The sensor is built into the steering column . You can use potentiometers , optical sensors or sensors that use the magnetoresistive effect (e.g. Hall sensors ). There are absolute measuring sensors and incremental sensors ( inductive sensors ).
