Leo Bernhard Eichhorn

Leo Bernhard Eichhorn (born February 13, 1872 in Lemberg ; † 1956 ) was an Austrian genre and history painter .

Life

Eichhorn studied at the Vienna Academy from 1889 to 1896 , his teachers were Kasimir Pochwalski and August Eisenmenger . From 1903 he was a member of the cooperative of visual artists in Vienna.

During the First World War , from around the beginning of 1917, Eichhorn performed his land storm service with the Vienna Infantry Regiment No. 4 "Hoch- und Deutschmeister" . In August he was accepted as a war painter in the art group of the Austro-Hungarian war press quarter . His front excursions took him to Transylvania and the Italian front .
