Leo Heinrich Skrbensky

Leo Heinrich Skrbensky (spelling also Leo-Heinrich Skrbensky , Czech Lev Jindřich Skrbenský * April 23, 1905 in Aussig ; † May 8, 1945 in Schönpriesen) was a Czechoslovak freethinker , editor and non-fiction author of the 20th century .

Life

Leo Heinrich Skrbensky was a son of Baron Jan Skrbenský von Hříště (* 1868) and his wife Countess Malvína von Kolowrat (1873-1932) and a nephew of Cardinal Leo Skrbenský von Hříště ( Czech Lev Skrbenský z Hříště ). Until the expropriation in 1945 he lived in the family property of Schönpriesen Castle near Aussig .

Skrbensky his doctorate in 1928 at the Karls University in Prague for Dr. phil. , wrote numerous articles for the organ of the Freethinkers Association of Switzerland and was the author of several non-fiction books.

It is known that in 1939 he was a member of the supervisory board of E. Heuer, Chemische Fabrik AG in Aussig; a branch of the Dresden-based chemical factory Cotta E. Heuer in Dresden.
