Leo Kühberger

Leo Kühberger (* 1975 in Leoben ) is an Austrian historian, cultural anthropologist, journalist and translator.

Life

After attending the Stiftsgymnasium Admont high school , he began studying history and cultural anthropology at the University of Graz in 1994 , which he completed in 2002 with a master's degree. This was followed by a doctorate in history in Graz and Puebla with a dissertation on the principle of resistance . Graduated with distinction in 2011.

Kühberger is primarily active in the cultural sector and adult education. Since 2012 he has also been working as a lecturer at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology at the University of Graz and teaches in particular about the history, theory and practice of social movements and the multiple crises of our time. As a journalist, Kühberger works primarily for Radio Helsinki and various independent print media. From 2017 to 2020 he was (jointly) responsible for the “Social Policy” section at Forum Stadtpark .
