Leo Westhues

Leo Westhues (born September 27, 1920 in Ahlen , † December 14, 1977 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Leo Westhues attended elementary school and secondary school, where he graduated from high school. Westhues was drafted for military service and became a prisoner of war. After the Second World War , he took up a legal clerkship in the judicial service with an exam. He worked at the district courts of Warendorf , Münster , Marl and Ahlen . From 1961 he worked as director of the savings and loan fund Ahlen.

Leo Westhues was local chairman of the CDU Ahlen from 1957 to 1962 and from 1959 district chairman in Beckum, also a member of the state party committee of the CDU for the Beckum district. From 1961 he was a member of the Beckum district council and from 1964 parliamentary group chairman.

Leo Westhues was from July 24, 1966 to September 2, 1968 directly elected member of the 6th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 087 Beckum I. Westhues left the state parliament prematurely.
