Leonardo Villanueva Meyer

Leonardo Villanueva Meyer (born July 9, 1891 in Huaraz , Peru ; † May 31, 1981 in Panama ) was a Peruvian architect who practiced much of his profession as the official architect of Panama.

Life

He was a graduate of the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Lima and lived in Panama since 1921. He carried out the planning on the numerous buildings erected by Genaro Ruggieri .

He did much of his work during President Belisario Porras' tenure . His most famous works are the Plaza de Francia , the Plaza de San Francisco and the renovation of the Palacio de las Garzas . In addition to being an architect, he was also a teacher at the School of Arts and Crafts in Panama.
