Leonardus Benyamin Moerdani
Leonardus Benyamin Moerdani (also Murdani) (born October 2, 1932 in Cepu , Central Java ; † August 29, 2004 in Jakarta ), also called Benny Moerdani , was Indonesia's army chief from 1983 to 1988 and also defense minister in the Suharto cabinet . He was one of the few Christians who made it to the highest Indonesian offices. He was succeeded by Try Sutrisno .
