Leonhard Mamlock

Leonhard Mamlock (born March 24, 1878 in Berlin , † August 25, 1923 in Norderney ) was a German chemist .

Mamlock studied natural sciences and especially chemistry at the University of Berlin and received his doctorate in 1901 (About alkylated hydroxylamines, 1901).

Mamlock was a chemist in the United Chemical Works AG, founded in 1900 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

In 1900 he first described the Cope elimination with Richard Wolffenstein .

He was one of the authors of the article Chemical Atomistics in the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Sciences .

Leonhard Mamlock died in the summer of 1923 as a result of pneumonia in Norderney.
