Leonid Fyodorovich Golovanov

Leonid Fjodorowitsch Golowanow (* 1904 in Samara ; † 1980 ) was a Soviet graphic artist.

Golowanow was trained from 1923 to 1928 in the studio of Dmitri Kardowski in Moscow. From 1929 he took part in exhibitions. He created book illustrations for Moscow publishers. From 1943 to 1957 he worked in the Grekow studio.

During the Second World War he designed propaganda posters . "We go to Berlin" (1944) and "Glory of the Red Army!" (1946) became particularly popular. Golovanov also designed several series of postage stamps.
