Leopold Linhart
Leopold Linhart (born July 29, 1914 ; † unknown) was an Austrian figure skater and figure skating coach.
Life
At the Austrian championships Linhart came third in 1934 and 1935 and second in 1936 and 1937. He stood in the shadow of his very successful compatriots Karl Schäfer and Felix Kaspar . Linhart took part in three European championships , in 1934 in Seefeld he achieved his best result with fourth place behind Schäfer and the two Hungarians Dénes Pataky and Elemér Terták . He placed himself one place ahead of Erich Erdös , who was ahead of him at the Austrian championships. At the European Championships in 1935 he was eighth and in 1937 sixth. In 1936 and 1937 Linhart also took part in world championships . In 1936 in Paris he was seventh and in 1937 in Vienna sixth. At his only Olympic Games in 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he finished eleventh.
Later he trained the Olympic, world and European champion Beatrix Schuba .
